Doctors Hospital of Laredo continues to expand its network of care and make services more convenient and accessible for patients. The newest facility, North Laredo Diagnostic and Therapy Center, is located at 6801 McPherson Road, Suite 101, Laredo.

Services at the new site include:

  • Outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy for patients working to regain function following an injury or illness
  • Diagnostic services, EKGs, X-rays and lab services for patients who need preadmission testing before a scheduled procedure or hospital admission
New Outpatient Location

Associate Administrator Andrew Wilson explains that outpatient therapy services were moved from the Providence Health Center to McPherson Road to provide a more ideal, centrally located site, with easy in-and-out parking. The facility has two open gyms, as well as four private exam rooms for patient consultations and speech therapy. “It allows for natural light and has a functional arrangement of equipment so patients can optimize their therapy time,” Wilson says.

Outpatient therapy services can help patients who are recovering from a variety of conditions, such as sports injuries, surgery, lymphedema, stroke, neuromuscular disease and long hospitalizations. For patients who need more intensive, 24/7 support, inpatient therapy continues to be provided at the Providence Health Center. The goal is to ensure a better patient experience and help people get the care they need in a setting that is best for them, Wilson says.
