Outpatient Rehabilitation at North Laredo Diagnostic and Therapy Center

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation therapy after an injury, illness or medical procedure can reduce pain, promote healing and increase strength and endurance. Therapy can also teach patients how to prevent further pain or injury. The outpatient rehabilitation team is trained to develop specialized therapy plans for patients with the following issues:

  • Acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
  • Sports injuries
  • Orthopedic postsurgical care
  • Acute and chronic pain
  • Neuromuscular disease
  • Oncological conditions
  • Lymphedema
  • Stroke
  • Arthritic conditions
  • Recovering from COVID-19

Depending on the condition, various therapists at the North Laredo Diagnostic and Therapy Center will work with patients:

  • Physical therapists can help patients with activities like using a wheelchair, standing and walking. They can also teach patients how to manage their condition through exercise, which can improve function.
  • Occupational therapists help restore and enhance a patient's living skills (toileting, grooming, bathing, dressing, cooking, and working)
  • Speech and Language pathologists assist patients with disorders of speech, voice, language, cognition, memory and swallowing
