Doctors, dentists and business executives join forces to build Doctors Hospital. It opens with 36 beds on what was then the outskirts of town.

New doctors from outside Laredo join the hospital.

Women's Wing added.

Purchased by Universal Health Services, Inc.

Moved to current location, a 58-acre site on McPherson Road.

Added Cancer Treatment Center.

Added a new catheterization laboratory.

Expanded the Women's Center (L&D, NICU, Nursery and Post Partum).
Merged with Providence Medical and Surgical Center (PMSC).
PMSC was re-named Providence Health Center (inpatient rehab, gastroenterology procedures, lab and x-rays).
2008
First in Laredo to provide bariatric surgery .
